This beautiful and expressive dance form has many physical, mental and emotional benefits and those who step into the world of belly dance will soon discover the magic that exists at its heart.  For Mystic Bellydance and teacher Leanne Carrington-Payne, it isn’t just about dancing, but being part of the thriving belly dance community that exists. Students will find they can just come along to classes or workshops, or immerse themselves in fundraising activities and performances… it's up to each individual on how they want their dance journey to progress.   

Bellydance or ‘Danse Orientale’ is credited with originating in Egypt, Turkey and across the Middle East, and over the years newer styles and influences have played their part in the evolution of this dance form to create the main styles we have today: ‘Nightclub/Cabaret’, ‘Tribal’, ‘Fusion’ and ‘Traditional’… though there are variations on all of these.

Belly dance Performances - How to Book Mystic Bellydance for your event…

We take bookings throughout the year for indoor and outdoor events, so please call Leanne on 07796 087255 to discuss your requirements.  
We have a charging structure based on the type of event that is being hosted, so please give full details when contacting Mystic.  
We also offer talks for clubs, groups or society meetings, Dance Demonstrations, Mini Workshops, Private Tuition and Choreography assistance and development.  Refer to our Events page for our present and past bookings. 

As part of our community support, we also promote belly dance classes and workshops held by our ‘sister’ groups who cover: Ipswich, Kesgrave, Woodbridge, Melton, Ufford, Framlingham, Saxmundham, Snape, Halesworth, Stowmarket, Needham Market, Kessingland, Lowestoft, Norwich and more...  Full details of other teachers who are actively supporting the dance community can be found on our LINKS page and those we are happy to recommend have a 5 star rating!
